Free health check-up camp organised for anganwadi workers

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Anganwadi workers were honoured for their outstanding work at a programme organised at a city hotel. The Chief Guest, Leena Johri, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Women and Child Development, felicitated the Anganwadi workers. During the programme, health check-ups of the Anganwadi workers were conducted, and a stall showcasing learning materials prepared at the local level for children was also set up. The event was organised by Sesame Workshop India Trust with the support of Marico Limited. The programme was supported under Nihar Shanti Pathshala Funwala, a Marico CSR initiative. Sonali Khan, Managing Trustee, Sesame Workshop India Trust, shared that a programme is being implemented in Bahraich in collaboration with Anganwadi workers as part of the Early Childhood Development initiative. Under this programme, efforts are being made to strengthen Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) in 100 Anganwadi centres across the Bahraich district for young children. On this occasion, Deputy Director Seraj Ahmad, Satya Naidu, CSR Manager at Marico Limited, and Vimal Singh, CDPO, Huzoorpur, were also present.
