Four killed and two injured in apartment fire in China's Changsha

Four people were killed and two others injured after a fire broke out at a high-rise apartment building in Changsha, the capital of central China's Hunan Province, local firefighting authorities said on Sunday.

The fire broke out at 3.54 am on Saturday, according to state-run Xinhua news agency.

Firefighters rescued six people from the residential building and rushed them to hospital for treatment. Four of them later died despite medical efforts, while the other two remain under treatment.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway, authorities said.
