EAM S Jaishankar visits Oman, reviews India-Oman strategic partnership

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar paid an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, where he held wide-ranging discussions with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi to strengthen the India-Oman Strategic Partnership.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the 2 leaders reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.
During the talks, Jaishankar expressed India's appreciation to the Omani government for its prompt assistance to Indian seafarers during the recent regional developments, highlighting the close coordination between the two countries in ensuring the safety and welfare of Indian nationals.
As part of his visit, the External Affairs Minister also interacted with members of the Indian diaspora in Oman. He commended the vibrant Indian community for its significant contribution to strengthening the multifaceted relationship between India and Oman.

India and Oman share longstanding ties spanning trade, energy, maritime cooperation, defence, investment and people-to-people exchanges. The visit is expected to further deepen strategic cooperation between the two countries amid evolving regional dynamics.
