EAM Jaishankar meets Thuringia Minister-President Mario Voigt

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met Mario Voigt, Minister-President of the German state of Thuringia, along with his delegation, in New Delhi on Tuesday. The meeting focused on strengthening sub-national and bilateral cooperation between India and Germany.
In a post on social media, Jaishankar welcomed the strong support expressed for expanding India-Germany as well as India-European Union relations. He noted that the discussions covered key areas such as business opportunities, investment prospects, and technology partnerships between the two sides.
The engagement reflects India’s growing focus on deepening ties with German states alongside broader strategic relations with Germany and the European Union. Both sides are expected to explore further collaboration in innovation-driven sectors and economic development.
