DKVIB clears Khadi Kaushal Vikas Yojana

The 55th Board Meeting of the Delhi Khadi and Village Industries Board (DKVIB) on Wednesday formally passed the resolution for the implementation of the Delhi Khadi Kaushal Vikas Yojana. Minister for Industries and Chairperson, DKVIB Manjinder Singh Sirsa presided over the meeting.
The Delhi Khadi Kaushal Vikas Yojana was earlier approved by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Sirsa said, “The Delhi Khadi Kaushal Vikas Yojana is a comprehensive empowerment initiative. By combining skill development, financial support, tool kits, and digital market access through the e-Catalogue, we are ensuring that our artisans become self-reliant entrepreneurs. This scheme will bring dignity, sustainable income, and long-term economic security to more than 16,000 families in Delhi.
The scheme will be implemented during the financial years 2025–26 and 2026–27 and aims to provide structured skill to development training to more than 16,000 beneficiaries who have been residents of Delhi for at least five years.
The programme will cover multiple trades, including Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Merchandiser, Documentation Executive, IT Help Desk Attendant, Self-Employed Tailor, Pattern Master, and Fashion Clothing Production. These courses are designed to enhance employability as well as promote self-employment within the Khadi and Village Industries sector.
