Delivery worker stabbed to death in Mayur Vihar

A 22-year-old delivery worker was stabbed to death after a brief argument in east Delhi’s Mayur Vihar area on Monday night. The police said that three minors have been arrested for their alleged role in the killing. The victim, Arun Raj, a resident of Patparganj, was attacked in the Acharya Niketan locality around 8.15 pm. According to police, a PCR call reporting a stabbing was received at Pandav Nagar police station, following which a team rushed to the spot. Arun was found in a critical condition with multiple stab injuries and was immediately taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri (LBS) Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Senior police officials said preliminary findings indicated that the victim had suffered several deep wounds to the neck and chest, suggesting a brutal assault. The body was later sent to the mortuary for post-mortem examination to determine the precise cause of death and the nature of injuries.
Investigators said the attack was preceded by a minor altercation. Three youths allegedly arrived on a motorcycle and got into an argument with Arun over an unspecified issue. The dispute quickly escalated, and the assailants are alleged to have pulled out a sharp-edged weapon and stabbed him repeatedly before fleeing the scene.
Crime and forensic science laboratory (FSL) teams inspected the location and collected crucial evidence, including blood samples and other forensic material. Police also examined CCTV footage from the area and adjoining roads to trace the movement of the suspects and piece together the sequence of events.
