Delhi Police Special Cell arrests D-Company aide Huzaifa

The Delhi Police Special Cell, in coordination with the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), has arrested Huzaifa. He is linked to ‘D Company’ and Karachi gangster Munna Jhingada. This arrest is part of a larger investigation into a Pakistan-based terror group targeting important places across India.
Huzaifa, who had been on the run, played a major role as a recruiter and organiser in the network. He followed orders from Munna Jhingada and other handlers in Pakistan, bringing in local members, handling logistics, and collecting information for possible attacks in big Indian cities.
After his arrest, authorities began checking his electronic devices for messages, financial connections, and signs of planning, widening the investigation. This arrest comes after the Special Cell recently detained eight or nine suspected terrorists, according to several sources. That operation found links between the group, Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and Mumbai’s underworld, showing how far the network reaches.
The arrests uncovered plans to attack airports, train stations, power plants, and security forces. Police found weapons and ammunition with the suspects. Munna Jhingada, whose real name is Muddasar Hussain Sayyed, is a shooter from Mumbai. In 2000, he went to Bangkok to attack his rival Chhota Rajan, but the attempt failed, and he spent ten years in a Thai prison.
After legal disputes about his nationality, Jhingada was sent to Pakistan in 2019. Since then, he has worked from Karachi to rebuild D-Company’s network. Authorities are now working harder to find his associates and possible sleeper cells, as they believe a team in Pakistan has used underworld connections for actions against India.
Security sources said the arrests are a major setback for the ISI and D-Company groups trying to destabilise India through hybrid warfare. “This network was not just about crime; it was about coordinated terror,” a senior officer said. In short, security sources see these arrests as a serious blow to ISI and D-Company’s efforts to destabilise India through hybrid warfare.
Now that Huzaifa is in custody, security agencies are stepping up their investigations into funding, recruitment, and cross-border handlers.
The Delhi Police Special Cell’s ongoing investigation is likely to uncover more links, especially in Maharashtra and other areas. This highlights the ongoing threat from the ISI-underworld alliance and the continued work of Indian security forces to fight their nefarious designs.
