Delhi Police declared best marching contingent at R-Day 2026 Parade
The Delhi Police marching contingent has been declared the best marching contingent among the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and other auxiliary forces at the Republic Day Parade 2026. Delhi Police won the top honour in the Judges’ Choice Category, according to an official communication issued by the Ministry of Defence.
The announcement was made by the Ministry of Defence, Directorate of Ceremonials, which informed that the Delhi Police contingent stood out for its precision, discipline and overall presentation during the national parade held on January 26 at Kartavya Path. In the Popular Choice Category, the CRPF marching contingent was adjudged the winner. The Delhi police winning contingent will be honoured with a trophy and tableaux will be organised at the RR Camp, Delhi Cantonment, at 12.30 pm on January 30, 2026. The trophies will be conferred by the Minister of State for Defence during the ceremony.
The Defence Ministry has requested the Ministry of Home Affairs to inform the names of officers who will receive the trophies on behalf of the Delhi Police and the CRPF. It has also sought a list of approximately five officers from each force who would be invited to attend the ceremony, underscoring the formal recognition accorded to the winning contingents.
