Delhi lines up Rs 18 cr for AI-driven rebrand as investor-friendly hub

From informative short films touting investment prospects, to AI-driven sentiment tracking and round-the-clock digital campaigns, Delhi is preparing for a sweeping image makeover to project itself as a modern metropolis, teeming with economic opportunities driven by ‘good governance’, and cultural heritage.
A nearly Rs 18-crore fund has been allotted for creating a ‘brand identity’ for Delhi through coordinated media outreach, strategic communication campaigns, digital engagement and reputation management over a one-year period, an official told PTI on Monday.
He said the project includes preparation of a comprehensive “City Brand Playbook” defining Delhi’s identity, messaging and communication strategy across departments and public platforms. “The effort is to showcase Delhi’s transformation in governance, infrastructure, investment and civic life through a professional and coordinated communication framework,” he said.
To this extent, a selected agency will manage national and international media engagement, including feature stories, leadership interviews, expert articles and regular press interactions, the official said, adding that the communications will focus on themes such as sustainability, urban mobility, innovation, heritage and public service delivery.
The project also includes production of promotional films, documentaries, digital reels, infographics and photography showcasing infrastructure projects, cultural landmarks and governance initiatives, the official said.
