CM watches Shatak, calls it inspiring tribute to RSS at 100

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday watched the recently released film Shatak, which chronicles 100 years of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), and described it as an inspiring portrayal of dedication and nation-first commitment.
After viewing the film, the Chief Minister shared her response on X, calling the RSS’s centenary journey “a bright example of unwavering penance, sacrifice and selfless service.” She said that since its inception, the organisation has treated “Nation First” as the core principle of its life and work.
Referring to RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, she said he made individual character-building the foundation of nation-building.
The Chief Minister wrote that Shatak presents an inspiring expression of the Sangh’s hundred-year journey, its spirit and its commitment to the nation. She termed the film a powerful medium to connect the younger generation with this legacy and urged people to watch it.
Shatak traces the RSS’s century-long journey, highlighting its ideological roots and various social initiatives undertaken over the decades. The film was released in theatres on February 20, 2026.
Conceptualised by Anil D Agarwal, the film is directed by Aashish Mall and produced by Vir Kapur, with Aashish Tiwari as co-producer.
According to the makers, the film aims to document the evolution of the RSS over 100 years and showcase its socio-cultural impact. The release coincides with the centenary year of the organisation.
