CM unveils industrial push in Satna

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday announced a slew of measures to accelerate industrial growth and employment in the Vindhya region, including a new industrial park on 100 acres in Satna and a regional MSME-focused Industry Conclave.
Addressing the Vindhya Trade Fair in Satna, Yadav said the state is working with strong resolve to make Madhya Pradesh a hub for trade, infrastructure, and self-employment.
The Chief Minister said the upcoming MSME conclave in Satna will follow the mining-sector conclave held earlier in Katni.
The Government plans to scale these events to the district level, in line with the vision appreciated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. “Our goal is to empower youth and entrepreneurs by building robust infrastructure and streamlining support,” Yadav said.
Yadav also announced the allocation of 8 acres of land to the Vindhya Chamber of Commerce to permanently host the Vindhya Trade Fair. He further declared the construction of a Geeta Bhavan under the PPP mode for cultural and commercial events in Satna.
Focusing on connectivity, the CM said Satna’s airport runway is being extended to 1,800 meters to accommodate jet aircraft.
Helicopter services have already begun for religious tourism, connecting sites like Chitrakoot Dham and Sharada Mata Temple.
He added that PM Shri air ambulance services are now available, and government-operated bus services will be launched early next year.
Highlighting welfare initiatives, Yadav said the new “Rahveer Yojana” will incentivize road accident rescuers with Rs 25,000. In agriculture, the state is offering 90 per cent subsidies on solar pumps and waiving power bills for farmers.
“Out of a Rs 60,000 solar pump cost, Rs 53,000 is subsidised,” he noted, adding that total subsidies across sectors now amount to Rs 30,000 crore.
The CM reiterated the target to double the State budget to Rs 7 lakh crore over the next five years. Support for industry includes a 30 per cent subsidy in the hotel sector and Rs 5,000 per job for employment-generating units.
