CM unveils development projects worth Rs 300 cr

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 300 crore across three Assembly constituencies of South Delhi: Badarpur, Sangam Vihar and Deoli.
The projects, collectively valued at more than Rs 300 crore, include road construction and upgradation, drainage and sewerage improvements, strengthening of drinking water supply, installation of street lighting, and the development of parks, dispensaries and community banquet halls.
The Chief Minister said the initiative marks the beginning of a comprehensive transformation of South Delhi, which she described as a priority area for the government. Speaking at separate public programmes organised in the three constituencies, the chief minister said the projects were not just about spending public money but about delivering visible change on the ground. “This is the beginning of change. The rejuvenation of South Delhi is our priority,” she said, adding that all works would be completed within stipulated timelines and with strict quality control. In the Badarpur Assembly constituency, where projects worth Rs 85 crore were inaugurated, the Chief Minister said that the Government was working in mission mode to eliminate the Okhla landfill, a long-standing issue affecting the lives of people living nearby.
The chief minister assured residents that development works in Badarpur would be carried out transparently and with a focus on cleanliness, safety and modern infrastructure. “These works will change the face of Badarpur. Our aim is to make it a clean, safe and model constituency,” she said, reiterating the government’s commitment to addressing long-pending civic problems in the area.
