CM Rekha urges girls to attain graduation-level education

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday said that all the girls in Delhi should attain at least a graduation-level education. Speaking at the convocation of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, she said her government is working tirelessly to provide opportunities for women.
Addressing the students, the Chief Minister said that a convocation is not merely the end of academic life but the beginning of a new journey. She encouraged the students to move forward with curiosity, innovation and a strong sense of responsibility and to use their knowledge and technical skills for the greater good of society and the nation.
She noted that the 1,181 graduating students were not merely receiving degrees but were stepping out as future leaders who would shape the direction of society and the nation through their knowledge, skills and leadership. The chief minister said IGDTUW has emerged as a leading institution for technical education for women in the country. The university plays a vital role in empowering women in fields such as engineering, science and technology, architecture and management.
