CM Rekha inaugurates infrastructure projects in Shalimar Bagh, Pitampura

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Saturday inaugurated and inspected a series of civic infrastructure projects in Shalimar Bagh and Pitampura. The Government is focusing on improving roads, drainage systems, parking facilities, parks and public amenities in the area.
During her visit to the Shalimar Bagh Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister inaugurated multiple development works in AD Block, Shalimar Bagh, and AP Block, Pitampura.
She also reviewed the progress of ongoing projects at KP Block Complex and the under-construction Chhath Ghat near Munak Canal.
The newly inaugurated works in AD Block include construction and repair of roads, drains and lanes, along with the development of walkways, boundary walls in parks, public toilets, parking spaces and drainage systems in the DDA market area. Officials said the projects aim to ease traffic movement, improve sanitation, and reduce waterlogging during the monsoon season.
Addressing residents and officials during the inspection, the chief minister said better civic infrastructure directly impacts citizens’ quality of life and that the Delhi Government is committed to strengthening basic amenities across neighbourhoods.
“The Government’s objective is not limited to large-scale projects alone, but to ensure development reaches every colony, market, park and residential area,” she said. In AP Block, Pitampura, the Chief Minister inaugurated projects related to boundary wall construction, roads, drains and civic infrastructure in the market area.
