CM Rekha honoured with traditional floral fan

The sound of the shehnai echoed through the Delhi Secretariat on Monday as Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was honoured with a traditional floral fan.

The Chief Minister was welcomed during a ceremony linked to the historic festival Phool Walon Ki Sair.

Members of Anjuman Sair-e-Gul Faroshan presented the customary floral pankha to the Chief Minister in keeping with the long-standing tradition of the festival. The ceremony was accompanied by live shehnai music, adding a ceremonial touch and reviving the cultural atmosphere associated with the historic celebration.

Delhi Cabinet Minister Kapil Mishra and several dignitaries were also present during the programme held at the Secretariat. The event was organised as part of the week-long celebrations of Phool Walon Ki Sair, one of Delhi’s oldest cultural festivals that symbolises the city’s composite culture and communal harmony.
