CM Rekha extends Holi greetings to Delhi residents

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday extended Holi greetings to the people of the national Capital, calling the festival a symbol of harmony, unity and shared cultural heritage. She said the colours of Holi should blend with Delhi’s development and spirit of brotherhood.
In her message on the eve of Holi, the Chief Minister said the festival is not just about colours but about strengthening social bonds. She wished peace, prosperity and happiness for every resident of the city.
Describing Holi as a celebration of unity in diversity, the Chief Minister urged citizens to come together to eliminate hatred and build an inclusive society. She said the festival offers an opportunity to reinforce mutual respect and harmony among communities.
The Chief Minister also linked the festive spirit with her government’s development agenda. She said that just as different colours come together to create beauty, the Government is working to connect every corner of Delhi with modern infrastructure. She highlighted efforts to improve roads, transport systems and smart civic facilities across the city.
The Chief Minister reiterated that her government is committed to transforming Delhi’s infrastructure to world-class standards. She said steps are being taken to ensure seamless transport and better urban amenities. The Government, she added, is also implementing strong measures to control pollution and improve the quality of life.
Expressing confidence in the vision of a ‘Viksit Delhi’, the Chief Minister said visible changes are underway, and the city is moving steadily towards becoming a model Capital. She said every citizen will take pride in the transformation. Appealing for responsible celebrations, the Chief Minister urged people to opt for an environmentally friendly Holi. She encouraged the use of natural colours and called upon residents to celebrate the festival with care for the environment.
She emphasised that fraternity remains Delhi’s greatest strength. As the Capital of India, she said, Delhi’s culture sets an example for the rest of the country. A united and responsible citizenry is essential for sustained progress.
The Chief Minister said her government remains dedicated to building a safe and prosperous Delhi. She added that development and social harmony must go hand in hand.
Concluding her message, the Chief Minister extended her best wishes for a peaceful and joyous Holi. She expressed confidence that the people of Delhi, united in spirit, will work together to realise the dream of a developed and inclusive Capital.
