CM offers prayers at Karol Bagh Hanuman temple

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday visited the 108-foot Shri Sankat Mochan Dham temple in Karol Bagh to offer prayers on the occasion of Hanuman Janmotsav, seeking peace, prosperity, and well-being for the people of the capital.
The Chief Minister participated in religious rituals at the temple and joined devotees in reciting the Hanuman Chalisa. She prayed for the progress of Delhi and the nation during the ceremony, which saw the presence of a large number of devotees and dignitaries. Addressing people at the temple, the Chief Minister said Lord Hanuman represents service, courage, dedication, and commitment. She noted that his life and values continue to inspire individuals to work selflessly for society and the nation.
She added that such religious occasions help promote positive energy, unity, and spiritual awareness among people.
The visit was part of Hanuman Janmotsav celebrations observed across the city. The Karol Bagh temple, known for its towering Hanuman statue, drew large crowds of devotees throughout the day. The Chief Minister interacted with attendees, including members of the temple trust, and extended greetings on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said she prayed for lasting peace, happiness, and prosperity for the residents of Delhi. She also urged citizens to adopt values of harmony, cooperation, and service in their daily lives. According to her, these values are essential for building a strong and inclusive society.
