CM Gupta releases one-year report card

On the third day of her outreach programme marking one year in office, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday addressed a public gathering in East Delhi. She released the government’s one-year report card, highlighting achievements across various sectors as the BJP-led administration completed its first year in office.
The event underscored the Government’s progress amid ongoing public engagement initiatives. Addressing a gathering, the chief minister stated that the Government is working continuously to fulfil the resolve of building a ‘Viksit Delhi’. Marking one year of the BJP-led Delhi Government, she reiterated the message: “First Step Towards Change, One Year of Development.”
She noted that the Government has presented its report card to the public and encouraged citizens to register complaints through the provided contact number if they feel any work has not been done.
She further remarked that Delhi does not have a three-engine but a four-engine Government, with the organisation being the fourth engine. The Chief Minister said that her government is not merely focused on governance, but on serving the people. She highlighted that over the past year, sustained efforts have been made at the grassroots level, with priority given to essential services such as healthcare, education, smooth transport connectivity and access to clean drinking water.
“These 365 days were the days that changed the course of Delhi, and the coming 4 years will change the condition of Delhi,” she said.
During the ‘Pravas’ programme, emphasis was laid on the fact that this one-year development journey has laid the foundation of an ‘ideal capital’, prosperous, progressive, green and equipped with modern amenities. In this vision, the East Delhi parliamentary constituency will play a pivotal role and will, in the coming years, be firmly placed on the global development map.
Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, Member of Parliament from North West Delhi Yogender Chandolia, MLA from Vishwas Nagar Om Prakash Sharma, MLA from Gandhi Nagar Arvinder Singh Lovely, MLA from Jangpura Tarvinder Singh Marwah, MLA from Krishna Nagar Anil Goyal, MLA from Shahdara Sanjay Goyal, and BJP Delhi State President Virendra Sachdeva, along with other leaders, were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Harsh Malhotra said that modernisation of the Ashram-Badarpur Corridor (Mathura Road) has begun. Detailed project reports are also being prepared for the Kalindi Kunj Signal-Free Elevated Corridor, which includes proposals for multiple flyovers, traffic segregation, circular connectivity, and directional bypasses. He further stated that projects such as the DND-Faridabad-Sohna Connectivity Corridor, Punjabi Bagh-Tikri Border Corridor, and Mehrauli-Gurugram Corridor will not only reduce traffic congestion but also help lower pollution levels in Delhi.
Sachdeva said taking the Rekha Gupta Government’s achievements to the grassroots level is the organisation’s fundamental duty, with booth presidents and especially “Panna Pramukhs” playing a crucial role. He also thanked the Chief Minister for allocating Rs 728 crore to the Yamunapar Development Board, stating that the area had been neglected for the past 25 years by previous Governments.
