CM congratulates Himanta Biswa Sarma on second term as Assam CM

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday attended the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected BJP Government in Guwahati, Assam.

She extended her heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Himanta Biswa Sarma on taking oath as Assam Chief Minister for a second consecutive term. Calling the verdict a historic mandate, the chief minister said it reflected Dr Sarma’s leadership, his unwavering commitment to public service and the immense trust reposed in him by the people of Assam.

She said Assam had made remarkable strides in recent years in areas such as development, governance, infrastructure, investment, cultural preservation and public welfare. Under Dr Sarma’s leadership, she noted, the state has emerged as a new development model for the Northeast.
