Christopher Nolan, Tom Holland arrive in Mumbai for India premiere of 'The Odyssey'

Oscar-winning filmmaker Christopher Nolan and Hollywood actor Tom Holland arrived in Mumbai on Friday ahead of the India premiere of their much-awaited epic action drama, The Odyssey.
Videos circulating on social media showed Holland arriving at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, where he greeted photographers before entering the hotel. Nolan was also seen arriving with his wife and longtime producing partner Emma Thomas.
Nolan, Thomas, Holland and lead actor Matt Damon are in Mumbai as part of the film's global promotional tour, making it the first Christopher Nolan film to have an official premiere in India.
Universal Pictures International has included Mumbai as one of the official premiere destinations alongside London, Paris and New York, underscoring the growing significance of the Indian market for global cinema.
The India premiere of The Odyssey is scheduled to take place on Saturday at PVR Icon IMAX, Phoenix Palladium in Mumbai.
Written and directed by Nolan, the film is based on Homer's legendary epic, chronicling the decade-long journey of Odysseus following the fall of Troy.
Matt Damon plays the titular role of Odysseus, while Tom Holland portrays his son, Telemachus. The film also features an ensemble cast including Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron and Samantha Morton.
Shot across multiple countries using newly developed IMAX film technology, The Odyssey is the first feature film to be filmed entirely with IMAX cameras.
Produced by Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas under their Syncopy banner, the film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on July 17.
