Chhattisgarh tops regulatory ease, institutional environment in CRISIL-NITI Aayog Investment Index

Chhattisgarh has secured the top rank in the Regulatory Ease and Institutional Environment pillars of the CRISIL-NITI Aayog Investment Friendliness Index, highlighting the state's progress in creating a business-friendly regulatory ecosystem, the state government said on Sunday.
According to the government, the achievement reflects reforms undertaken to simplify governance, improve policy implementation and strengthen institutional mechanisms aimed at attracting investments. The rankings recognise states that have made significant progress in facilitating business operations and ensuring an efficient regulatory framework.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said the recognition demonstrates Chhattisgarh's commitment to transparent governance and investor-friendly policies. He added that the state government has focused on reducing procedural hurdles, promoting ease of doing business and creating a conducive environment for industries and entrepreneurs.
The CRISIL-NITI Aayog Investment Friendliness Index assesses states on multiple parameters related to investment facilitation, governance, infrastructure and institutional effectiveness. The Regulatory Ease and Institutional Environment pillars evaluate the efficiency of regulatory processes, policy support and the strength of institutions that enable investment and business growth.
The state government said it will continue implementing reforms to strengthen industrial development, attract fresh investments and generate employment opportunities. It also reiterated its commitment to improving governance standards and enhancing the overall business climate in the state.
