Centre calls for district-level push for cooperative reforms

Under the overarching vision of ‘Sahkar se Samriddhi’, the Ministry of Cooperation has called for a decisive shift from policy deliberation to grassroots execution.

Addressing the inaugural National Review Conference, Secretary Dr Ashish Kumar Bhutani emphasised that the revival of the cooperative sector now hinges on grounding reforms at the district level through time-bound action plans.

Reviewing the progress of flagship initiatives, Dr Bhutani highlighted the need to maintain momentum for the ambitious target of establishing two lakh Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS).
