Blankets distributed at IP University to needy

Under the ‘Warmth of Makar Sankranti’ — Annual Winter Relief Drive organised by the local Kishore Kumar memorial club, a heartfelt initiative unfolded at the Dwarka campus of Indraprastha University on Friday.

The vice chancellor of the university, Padma Professor Dr Mahesh Verma, along with registrar, Dr Kamal Pathak, distributed blankets to those in need, a small gesture with a powerful message.’ Humanity comes first, “this winter, we stand together sharing warmth, dignity and hope,” said the vice chancellor.

According to the general secretary of the club, Kamal Dhiman, the blankets were distributed to mostly to the residents of nearby cluster areas.

The organisation is engaged in such type of noble causes for decades, said a professor of the university.
