BJP leaders join journalists at Holi bash, target Kejriwal

Senior BJP leaders on Monday joined hundreds of journalists at the Delhi BJP Media Department’s annual Holi Milan, where political messaging mixed with festive celebrations. Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva used the occasion to attack AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, saying Delhiites have already rejected him and will not be misled again.
The Holi Milan was attended by BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santosh, BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, and several MPs, including Manoj Tiwari, Nishikant Dubey, and Kamaljeet Sehrawat.
Addressing the gathering, Sachdeva said Delhi has witnessed a visible transformation over the past year, and the city’s image will improve further in the coming year.
He said that when municipal elections are held, people will vote on the basis of the work done.
Targeting Kejriwal, Sachdeva said the former chief minister tried to prove himself innocent under the cover of a lower court but has already been sent out of Delhi by the people’s verdict. He added that Delhiites will not fall prey to deception again.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the resolve for women’s empowerment has gained new strength. She said it is not just about welfare schemes but about building an empowered woman and a prosperous, developed Delhi. The Chief Minister added that development works are progressing steadily and foundation stones for several projects are being laid.
She said after Holi, the pace of development will increase further. The Government, she said, remains committed to the people of Delhi round the clock.
MP Nishikant Dubey described Holi as a symbol of harmony and brotherhood. He said the festival conveys the message of forgetting differences and working together for the nation’s progress.
The event was organised under the chairmanship of Sachdeva. Media Head Praveen Shankar Kapoor, along with members of the media team, welcomed guests and journalists with gulal and a shower of flowers. Four members of the Mahila Morcha applied sandalwood tilak to distinguished guests.
Renowned folk singer Johnny Sufi performed Holi folk songs and bhajans. Journalists and leaders were seen dancing together. Traditional dishes from Old Delhi were also served. Among those present were National Office Secretary Mahendra Pandey, Delhi Ministers Parvesh Sahib Singh and Ravindra Indraj Singh, former MP Ramesh Bidhuri, NDMC Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Assembly Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht, and several MLAs and party office-bearers.
The gathering brought together editors, anchors, digital communicators, influencers, and photographers from across Delhi. Leaders from the stage extended Holi greetings to journalists and party workers. The annual Holi Milan has become a key outreach event for the Delhi BJP, combining celebration with direct engagement with the media fraternity.
