Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary inaugurates Patna metro extension to Malahi Pakdi

Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary on Thursday inaugurated the extension of Patna Metro services up to Malahi Pakdi, marking another milestone in the state's urban transport infrastructure. The newly opened stretch is expected to improve connectivity in eastern Patna, reduce travel time, and provide commuters with a faster and more convenient mode of public transport.
The inauguration was attended by senior government officials and representatives associated with the metro project.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister said the metro expansion reflects the state government's commitment to strengthening public transport and supporting Patna's growing urban population.
He noted that the project would help ease traffic congestion, improve daily commuting, and contribute to the city's overall economic development. The government also reiterated its commitment to completing the remaining phases of the Patna Metro project within the planned timeline.
The Patna Metro project is one of Bihar's largest urban infrastructure initiatives and is expected to transform public transportation in the state capital. Officials said the extension to Malahi Pakdi would enhance last-mile connectivity and encourage more residents to shift towards sustainable and efficient public transport.
