Bengaluru Drug Bust Six Arrested With MDMA and Hydro Ganja Worth Rs 20 Crore

Six individuals have been arrested in Bengaluru for their alleged involvement in the illegal purchase and distribution of narcotic substances, including MDMA and hydro ganja, police said on Tuesday.
According to officials, the accused were sourcing banned drugs at lower prices and selling them for profit, with college students among their primary customers.
During the operation, police seized 8 kg 58 g of MDMA and 5 kg 700 g of hydro ganja, along with four mobile phones and a car used in the alleged crime. The total value of the seized items is estimated at ₹10.05 crore, while the market value is pegged at approximately ₹20.10 crore.
The crackdown followed specific intelligence inputs indicating drug sales in areas under the jurisdiction of Yeshwanthpur and Nandini Layout police stations.
A statement issued by the office of Seemant Kumar Singh said that the accused include two individuals from other states and four local residents. They were detained during multiple operations conducted on different dates.
During interrogation, the accused reportedly admitted to procuring narcotics from unidentified interstate and local suppliers before distributing them within the city.
Police have launched further investigations to trace the supply network and identify those involved in the larger drug distribution chain.
All six accused have been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody. Authorities confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
