Assam Rifles, Indian Army conduct joint flood relief training in Agartala, Tripura

The Assam Rifles and the Indian Army conducted a two-day joint flood relief training exercise in Tripura to strengthen disaster response preparedness and improve coordination during flood emergencies in the state.
The exercise was organised with the objective of ensuring smooth and effective flood relief operations during natural disasters.
It focused on enhancing synergy, operational coordination, readiness and response capabilities between the two forces.
Troops from both Assam Rifles and the Indian Army jointly participated in a series of disaster management drills and practised standard operating procedures related to rescue, evacuation and relief operations.
During the training programme, personnel from both forces used common drills, equipment and operational procedures to ensure uniformity in execution and better coordination during real-time emergency situations.
Officials said the exercise significantly improved interoperability between the two security forces and strengthened their ability to undertake coordinated disaster relief operations whenever required.
The joint training exercise also reaffirmed the commitment of the security forces to providing timely assistance to civil authorities and ensuring the safety and well-being of people during natural calamities and other emergencies.
Tripura and several other northeastern states frequently face flood-related challenges during the monsoon season, making coordinated disaster preparedness exercises crucial for effective emergency response.
