Adani Group completes, executes projects worth Rs 2.6 lakh crore in Maharashtra

The Adani Group has completed or is currently executing projects worth Rs 2.6 lakh crore in Maharashtra as part of an investment blueprint exceeding Rs 6 lakh crore across key sectors, Adani Enterprises Director Pranav Adani said.
Speaking at the launch of Maharashtra’s investment promotion platform, Invest Maharashtra, Adani said the group’s commitments were made through engagements at the World Economic Forum in Davos and partnerships with the state government. The broader investment plan covers energy, aviation and aero-districts, urban regeneration, data centres and coal gasification.
The investment push comes as Maharashtra targets becoming a USD 1 trillion economy by 2030, with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region expected to be a major contributor to that growth, Adani said.
Among the group’s major projects in the state are the management of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and the development of Navi Mumbai International Airport. The Navi Mumbai airport is eventually expected to handle more than 90 million passengers annually.
In the power sector, Adani Electricity Mumbai supplies electricity to more than 3 million homes and establishments in Mumbai, with more than 60 per cent of its power supply sourced from renewable energy, according to the group. It is also developing a 1,000 MW high-voltage direct-current transmission link for Mumbai and pumped-storage hydro projects across Maharashtra.
Adani also highlighted the Dharavi redevelopment project, saying the group’s focus was on providing modern housing before relocation, formalising and protecting micro-enterprises and transforming the area into an integrated economic hub.
The Adani Group’s Maharashtra plans were outlined as the state launched Invest Maharashtra, a new investment promotion mechanism aimed at converting investment proposals into projects on the ground. Maharashtra announced MoUs worth Rs 8.5 lakh crore at the launch, according to reports.
Adani also praised Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s administration for its infrastructure execution and ease-of-doing-business initiatives, including the government’s “War Room” model.
