3 Key aides removed from Union Minister Bhupender Yadav’s office in administrative reshuffle

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has removed three senior members of Union Minister Bhupender Yadav’s personal staff, including his private secretary and two additional private secretaries. The reasons behind the move have not been officially disclosed.
According to official orders issued on July 3, Amar Singh, an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of the 2010 batch serving as Private Secretary to the minister, has been repatriated to his parent cadre, the Department of Revenue, on "administrative grounds" with immediate effect. Amar Singh had been associated with Yadav since 2021, when the latter headed the Labour and Employment Ministry, and continued in the role after Yadav assumed charge of the Environment Ministry in 2024.
In a separate order, Additional Private Secretary Shailesh Kumar Singh of the Central Secretariat Service (CSS) was prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), with an "extended cooling off" provision. Another Additional Private Secretary, Ayush Saran, was relieved of his duties after his appointment was terminated with immediate effect.
The simultaneous removal of all three officials is being viewed as an unusual administrative development within a Union minister's office. However, neither the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change nor Minister Bhupender Yadav's office has issued any official statement explaining the reasons for the reshuffle.
The orders were issued by the ministry's Under Secretary and have been communicated to the concerned departments for further action. As of now, there has been no announcement regarding appointments to fill the vacant positions.
