Jamshedpur-born actress Arshi Bharti, who has now settled in Mumbai, has taken a significant leap in her acting career with her debut in the web series Dil Tu Jaan Tu. The series, streaming on the Reelies App, follows a vertical format, making it unique in the digital entertainment space. The first nine episodes have already been released, with the remaining episodes set to premiere in the coming weeks.
Arshi plays the role of Anika in the series, a character deeply in love with Rocky, played by Adnaan Shaikh. However, Rocky has feelings for Pari, portrayed by Angel Rai, creating a gripping love triangle. Speaking about her experience, Arshi expressed excitement about transitioning to the OTT platform. “After proving my talent on the big screen, I am thrilled to explore the world of digital entertainment. OTT platforms are challenging yet incredibly rewarding, offering actors a chance to experiment with their craft,” she shared.
Arshi is also doing a web series. It is a period drama where she is playing the role of a soldier. It's a YouTube series under Balaji Productions.
Arshi’s journey into the entertainment industry has been one of dedication and perseverance. She completed her tenth grade from Sacred Heart Convent School and pursued her higher secondary education at JH Tarapore School in Jamshedpur. With dreams of making a mark in the film industry, she moved to Mumbai and enrolled at Whistling Woods International, a prestigious institute specializing in film, media, and arts.
Although she initially studied media, her passion for acting led her to explore theatre. She recalls being inspired by her interaction with renowned TV journalist Barkha Dutt, who encouraged her to strive for greatness. “Meeting Barkha Dutt was a turning point for me. She inspired me to work hard and make a name for myself. The journey wasn’t easy, especially coming from a non-filmy background. But I believed in my dreams and persevered through multiple auditions,” she reminisced.
Arshi’s journey was fraught with challenges, from standing in long audition queues to competing with aspiring actors who had strong industry connections. Despite the odds, she remained undeterred and ultimately secured a role in Dil Tu Jaan Tu.
To refine her acting skills, Arshi also pursued a diploma in acting from the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute. “During my training, I had a moment of realization—I was meant to be in front of the camera. My journey to Mumbai wasn’t as smooth as I had imagined, but it was worth every struggle. After completing my acting course, I actively participated in numerous auditions, each one bringing me closer to my dream,” she added.
Arshi credits her parents, Rajesh Bharti, an astrologer, and Sunita Bharti, a regional singer, for their unwavering support. “My family has been my biggest pillar of strength. Their encouragement has been instrumental in my journey, and I hope to continue making them proud,” she said.
With Dil Tu Jaan Tu marking her successful debut on the OTT platform, Arshi Bharti is looking forward to exploring more opportunities in acting. Her story is an inspiring example of passion, perseverance, and the determination to turn dreams into reality. Fans eagerly await her next venture as she continues to shine in the entertainment industry.
