Who’s who pay tributes to State Revolutionary Justice LPN Shahdev

On the occasion of the 13th death anniversary of Jharkhand revolutionary Justice LPN Shahdev, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, former Chief Ministers Babulal Marandi, Raghubar Das and Champai Soren, Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahato, top leaders of the state, social workers and agitators paid tribute.

Party boundaries were broken to pay tribute to Justice Shahdev on his death anniversary, leaders of all parties were seen coming throughout the day.

The 13th death anniversary of Jharkhand movement pioneer and fierce agitator Justice LPN Shahdev was celebrated on Friday. A tribute program was organized at Justice LPN Shahdev Chowk, where hundreds of people reached to pay tribute. Justice Shahdev's eldest daughter Kriti Singh, son Pratul Shahdev, daughter-in-law Dr. Vidya Jha Shahdev and grandson Shaurya Pratap Shahdev were among the first to pay tribute.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid tribute to Justice LPN Shahdev on his 13th death anniversary. Soren said that even while Justice LPN Shahdev was in judicial service, he nurtured the Jharkhand movement with his intellectual energy without being bound to any party. The coming generations should follow the path shown by him.

BJP State President Babulal Marandi offered flowers on his photo and said that the entire state knows him as a Jharkhand agitator along with a Justice. Justice LPN Shahdev was a pioneer among those who fought for Jharkhand.

Former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das paid tribute to Justice LPN Shahdev and said that the judge sahab played an important role in the movement for a separate Jharkhand state. Justice LPN Shahdev was a frontline warrior of the Jharkhand movement. His role in the formation of Jharkhand state can never be forgotten.

Former Chief Minister Champai Soren said that when the head of the then RJD government of Bihar opposed a separate Jharkhand state, then former Justice Shahdev ji gave his intellectual energy to the movement. Under his leadership, agitators from various parties had helped in taking the movement to its final stage by raising the slogan "First soil, then party". He said that I still remember that he was the first former Justice who was detained during the movement.

Union Minister of State, Sanjay Seth said that he had played an important role in the movement for a separate state of Jharkhand. Jharkhand will always be indebted to him. Seth said that on the occasion of death anniversary, he has sought blessings from the great warrior of Jharkhand movement for the development of Jharkhand.

Those who paid tribute today include Jharkhand BJP's organization general secretary Karamveer Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu, Father Ajit Khes (Jesuit provincial), former minister Randhir Singh, senior Congress leader Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, chairman of Gau Seva Aayog, Congress chief spokesperson Kishore Nath Shahdev, Congress leader Vinay Sinha Deepu, AJSU Party's central spokesperson Dr Dev Sharan Bhagat among others.
