Vedanta ESL has appointed Ravish Sharma as its Deputy CEO and whole-time Director. With over 20 years of experience in the metals industry, he brings expertise in smelting operations, engineering, safety, business excellence, stakeholder management, and CSR.
Sharma has held leadership roles across Bharat Aluminium Company Limited, Hindustan Zinc Limited, and ESL Steel Limited, contributing to business growth and operational excellence. He is known for maintaining high safety standards.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Sharma said, “I am honored to lead this integrated steel plant at Bokaro. Having grown within the Vedanta family, I look forward to working with our team to enhance operations, drive sustainable growth, and create lasting value while upholding safety and efficiency.”
A mechanical engineering graduate from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Sharma completed a senior leadership program at ISB Hyderabad in 2024. His contributions to smelting and steel operations earned him the Great Manager Award from ET Now and People Business in 2018.
