The annual festival Ujaas 2025 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at Anand Vihar College for Women. The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony before Maa Saraswati, graced by the presence of the President of the College Management Committee, Archana Bagchi, Chairperson Madhu Saran, Secretary Jeevan Rao, Treasurer Krishna Vijayvargiya, and Principal Madhu Mishra.
The first day of the festival witnessed a vibrant display of talent and creativity as students participated in various competitions, including palm painting, flameless recipe, and dance.
The palm painting competition saw students transforming their hands into artistic masterpieces, reflecting both imagination and skill. The flameless recipe competition showcased culinary innovation, as participants prepared and presented delectable dishes without the use of a gas stove.
The dance competition, a major highlight of the day, was conducted in two categories—solo and group. With nine groups presenting traditional and regional dances from different parts of India, and 22 participants captivating the audience with their solo performances, the event was a spectacular celebration of culture and rhythm. The energy and enthusiasm of the students created an electrifying atmosphere, making the event a grand success.
All the professors and a large number of students were present to witness and encourage the participants.
The excitement continues, as the festival will feature Color and Floral Rangoli, Video Making, and a Fashion Show competition on February 21, 2025, promising another day of creativity and artistic expression.
