In a tragic accident, two youths died a painful death after being hit by a train while trying to cross the closed railway crossing on a motorcycle in a hurry near Kuchman in Alinagar police station area of Chandauli district.
Both the youths were football players and were going for practice when they met with the accident. They were crushed to death by a passenger train going from Buxar to DDU Nagar.
The motorcycle got stuck under the engine of the train and was dragged for several kilometres. When smoke started coming out of the motorcycle near Shahroi village, the driver stopped the train and somehow pulled out the stuck two-wheeler with the help of the passengers. Luckily, the train did not catch fire.
According to reports, Pramod Kumar Paswan (22) of Araria police station area in Sahabganj, who lived in his maternal home in Dayalpur with his maternal uncle Anand Kumar Paswan, and his friend, Akash Yadav (20) of Jeevanpur, were going to Rupipur railway ground by a motorcycle on Sunday morning to play football. As the railway crossing was closed, they tried to cross the railway track, with their motorcycle when suddenly the Buxar DDU Nagar MEMU passenger came and hit them. Both died on the spot.
