A 24-year-old married man allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of his house in Ashoka Garden, Bhopal. The incident took place late Friday night. The man, identified as Abhishek Bachale, a truck driver by profession, reportedly recorded a video with a noose around his neck moments before taking the extreme step and uploaded it on his WhatsApp status.
In the video, Abhishek emotionally apologized to his father and held his wife Kajal and her family members responsible for his death. “Forgive me, Papa. I have made a big mistake. No one in my family is responsible for my death—only Kajal, her brother, her sister, and her parents. They have ruined my life. They pushed me to a point where I had no other option,” he said, appearing distressed.
According to police, the deceased's phone has been seized, and an investigation is underway. The body was sent for post-mortem and later handed over to the family on Saturday. A case has been registered, and police officials said further action will be taken after a thorough inquiry.
Abhishek's father, Maruti Bachale, told reporters that his son had returned home on Friday after several days. “Everything seemed normal until Saturday night when we saw his WhatsApp status. The video shocked us—it showed him explaining the reason for his suicide,” he said.
Maruti revealed that Abhishek had a love marriage with Kajal four years ago. However, the relationship was strained due to frequent quarrels, mostly stemming from suspicions over character. “Even after knowing several things post-marriage, Abhishek tried to save the relationship. But his wife would often fight with him. Eventually, the pressure became unbearable,” he added.
Ashoka Garden TI Hemant Srivastava confirmed that the police have initiated a probe and will examine the mobile phone of the deceased. "Statements of close family members will be recorded. Only after collecting all evidence and testimonies will further legal action be considered," he said.
