The sudden announcement of train cancellations has raised concerns among passengers, especially those who have pre-booked tickets for these dates. Passengers with reserved tickets on the cancelled trains will be eligible for refunds as per railway guidelines.

A spokesperson from South Eastern Railway stated, “The cancellations have been implemented due to unavoidable operational constraints. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to passengers and appreciate their understanding and cooperation. We are making every effort to ensure minimal disruption and to provide timely information to affected travelers.”

The railway authorities have also increased vigilance and assistance at major stations to help passengers navigate alternative travel options. Static and patrolling personnel have been deployed to manage the crowd and ensure safety at the stations.

This large-scale disruption is expected to impact thousands of passengers traveling to and from major cities, including New Delhi, Puri, Jammu Tawi, Tatanagar, Haldia, Hatia, Ranchi, and Bhubaneswar. The South Eastern Railway is closely monitoring the situation and is prepared to make further adjustments as necessary to facilitate passenger movement.
