Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal conducted a thorough inspection of the Tata Lease, Sports, and Social Security Office, reviewing the functioning of the department and assessing key records. During the visit, he checked the availability of deputed manpower, scrutinized the daily attendance register, and emphasized the need for improving the office work culture, timely execution of tasks, and maintaining updated documentation. He issued clear instructions that biometric attendance must be strictly followed in all offices.
A key focus of the inspection was the attendance and work discipline of the staff. The District Magistrate personally examined the daily attendance register and emphasized that biometric attendance should be strictly implemented across all departments. He noted that punctuality and work discipline are critical for maintaining administrative efficiency and delivering timely public services.
"All officials and employees must adhere to working hours strictly. Any irregularities in attendance will be dealt with seriously," he warned.
Additionally, Mittal instructed department heads to regularly monitor attendance records and submit monthly reports to higher authorities.
Examining key administrative records, including the incoming-outgoing register, cash register, file register, CNC register, stock register, and index register, the District Magistrate noted discrepancies and directed officials to rectify and maintain them as per government regulations. He instructed that all government-funded projects must be executed efficiently, with proper documentation of expenditure and purchased materials in stock registers on a regular basis. Officers responsible for withdrawals and expenditures were reminded to strictly adhere to financial guidelines issued by the Finance Department and the government. Additionally, he emphasized that all important government resolutions and guidelines should be systematically maintained in the guard file for reference.
Reviewing manpower allocation, he sought details on the sanctioned strength versus actual deployment and the distribution of responsibilities among staff. He stressed the importance of ensuring the cleanliness of office premises, optimizing working hours, and resolving public grievances efficiently. He directed officials to ensure proper file management, with all necessary records updated and cross-checked against official documents.
The inspection was attended by senior officials, including Project Director ITDA Dipankar Chaudhary, ADM (Law & Order) Aniket Sachan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhagirath Prasad, Director NEP Santosh Garg, Executive Magistrates Chandrajit Singh and Mrityunjay Kumar, ADSS Neha Sanjana Khalkho, and District Sports Officer Avinesh Tripathi. The directives issued by the District Magistrate reflect the administration’s commitment to transparency, efficiency and accountability in governance.
