A special exhibition titled "Art and Calligraphy in the Indian Constitution" was inaugurated at the Veethi Sankul building of the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS). Professor Ghayoor Alam from the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, graced the event as the chief guest.
The program commenced with a warm welcome extended by IGRMS Director, Professor Amitabh Pandey, who presented a bouquet and a museum memento to the chief guest. On the occasion, Professor Ghayoor Alam highlighted the unique blend of art and calligraphy in the Indian Constitution, describing it as an extraordinary confluence of India’s cultural and legal heritage. He noted that the exhibition is a significant effort to showcase the cultural and artistic aspects of the Constitution.
The exhibition displays fascinating representations of the original manuscript of the Indian Constitution, its calligraphy, and traditional art forms. It features the exceptional artwork of Nandalal Bose and other artists from Shantiniketan, whose illustrations have imbued the Constitution with vibrant cultural significance.
