In love with the vibrant colours of bougainvillea, Classes Prep and Nursery of DPS Ranchi celebrated their Annual Day on 20th February, 2025 at the Vivekananda Auditorium.
In an astounding, razzle - dazzle flaunt, the perfect coalescence of team spirit and talent of almost 560 tiny tots could be seen.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Mohammad Arshi, Commandant JAP 07, Hazaribagh as the Chief Guest and Badal Raj, DSE, Ranchi, as the Guest of Honour.
The cultural festivity began with a mesmerizing welcome song followed by the lighting of the lamp and sapling presentation to the dignitaries. On this, Principal, Dr. R. K. Jha welcomed the distinguished guests and addressed the symposium. He emphasized how DPS Ranchi envisions for its students to lead by example and form meaningful connections of importance of extra co-curricular activities with the academics. These activities help students to develop their critical thinking, confidence and collaborative abilities.
The programme progressed with the dance of Class Prep – ‘The Highlanders’ who hopped and swayed and strongly emphasized on the values of games in their overall development. Their performance spread the message of teamwork, leadership, accountability, patience and self confidence. The importance of improved health, better mood, social skills and team collaboration could be seen through their dance steps on some of the common games like kite flying, kabaddi, ludo, chess and ice-hockey.
This succeeded with the inauguration of Primary Wing magazine ‘DIPS TIME’. The magazine is undoubtedly a special collection that captures the essence of school life. It’s a vibrant mix of stories, articles, poems and artwork all created by the students.
The Chief Guest opined that the students have smartly carved a domain for themselves. He added that education earns wisdom only if there is a blend of co-scholastic activities and academics. He congratulated the management of DPS Ranchi for maintaining these parameters and providing the best opportunities to its students.
The cultural programme was wrapped up with the jubilant performance of Class Nursery – ‘The Giggles’ which spread laughter and joy among the audience. Their cheerful giggling through various dance forms amazed the audience. Above all the anchoring and the skit narrations impressed the audience.
