Ratu Road Elevated corridor work expedited

The final phase of work on Ratu Road Elevated Corridor has been speeded up. Work on the corridor and service road is being done at a fast pace so that the corridor is inaugurated soon. Mastic work has been done on the way towards the corridor till Ratu Road crossing. Work on the other side has started today.

Overall, more than 40 per cent of the mastic work has been done. Efforts are being made to complete this work soon. GSB and WBM work is in its final stage at Nagababa Khatal, Rajendra Nagar Colony (Pandra Road) and the ramp at Itki Road. It is being completely compacted. Then bitumen work will be done. This way the ramp will be ready.

Apart from this, the lighting work on the corridor has almost been completed. Lights have been installed on the divider, this will illuminate the entire flyover. The lighting work has been finalized after testing. Extension joint work pending: Currently, extension joint work is pending in the entire corridor. The work of filling the joint between two pillars is being done. This work has been done from Pandra Road to beyond Lahkothi. Joint work is also being done to connect Itki Road near Piska More.

It will take time to build the service road: It will take a lot of time to build the service road under the corridor. Currently, its work is going on near the cemetery. The service lane on one side has almost been built from near Pahadi Mandir Gali to Piska More. A lot of work is pending on the other side. Work is also pending on Itki Road. The entire finishing work is expected to be completed by May.
