In another administrative reshuffle, the Punjab Government on Monday issued transfer and posting orders of eight IAS officers, including five Deputy Commissioners (DCs). The order, issued by the Department of Personnel (IAS Branch) under the directions of the Punjab Governor, is aimed at streamlining the governance and enhance efficiency in key administrative positions across the state.
Among the key transfers and new postings are 2012-batch IAS officer Vineet Kumar, who has been transferred from Faridkot Deputy Commissioner to Punjab State Warehousing Corporation’s managing director replacing Kanwal Preet Brar. In Vineet’s place, Poonamdeep Kaur, who was serving as Barnala Deputy Commissioner, has been appointed as Faridkot Deputy Commissioner.
Hoshiarpur DC Komal Mittal, 2014-batch IAS, has now been transferred to SAS Nagar (Mohali) as Deputy Commissioner, replacing 2015-batch IAS Aashika Jain, who will not take charge of Hoshiarpur Deputy Commissioner.
The 2016-batch IAS officer Parminder Pal Singh, who was serving as Project Director of the World Bank Project, Department of School Education-cum-Special Secretary, School Education, and also PUNCOM managing director, has been relieved of his duties. His services have been placed at the disposal of the Department of Local Government, and he will now take over as SAS Nagar Municipal Corporation Commissioner, replacing 2018-batch officer T Benith. Benith has been appointed as Barnala Deputy Commissioner.
Ankurjeet Singh, 2018-batch IAS, who was previously the Chief Administrator of Jalandhar Development Authority (JDA), has been transferred as the Deputy Commissioner of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, replacing Rajesh Dhiman.
Viraj Shyamkarn Tidke, 2018-batch officer, who was earlier the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), SAS Nagar (Mohali), has now been appointed as Malerkotla Deputy Commissioner, replacing Palavi.
The orders stated that officers who have not been assigned a new posting will report to the Secretary, Department of Personnel, until further orders. The concerned authorities have also been directed to make internal arrangements for handling the work of positions that have been vacated as a result of these transfers.
