Ranchi Municipal Corporation has issued an order to close 33 rooftop bars and restaurants in the city. This order was passed by the court of Additional Administrator Sanjay Kumar on Saturday. This action was taken after the operators of these rooftop bars and restaurants did not present satisfactory evidence.

A case was going on in the case of unauthorized construction against the operators of 36 rooftop bars and restaurants in the Ranchi Municipal Corporation area. During the investigation, maps of only three rooftop bars and restaurants were found approved, while satisfactory evidence was not presented by the remaining 33 operators.

The operators of these 33 bars and restaurants have been directed to apply for the building plan within 30 days under Jharkhand Building By-laws-2016. If they do not apply within this period, the relevant structures will be removed. If the operators do not remove the structure within the time limit, Ranchi Municipal Corporation will remove their structure and recover the cost from them.

Here is the list of 33 rooftop bars and restaurants which have been ordered to be closed, Loop Lounge and Bar (Pantaloon Building) Eastern Mall, Dangratoli, Signature Restaurant and Lounge, Jagannath Tower, Lalpur, The Urban Brevia Bar, Circular Court Complex, Lalpur, Calories Restaurant, Hotel Landmark Building, Lalpur, The Vidora Restro and Lounge, Amravati Complex, East Jail Road, Plaza Chowk, The Urban Brevia Bar (Manyavar Showroom Building), Near Overbridge, Main Road, Junglee Moondance Restaurant, Fourth Floor, Nand Bhawan, Mahatma Gandhi, Main Road, Near Overbridge, Nivaranpur and Smoked Restaurant and Lounge, Main Road, Near PP Compound.
