One day strike cum dharna demonstration of advocates against Advocate Amendment Act 2025 concluded on Tuesday. At 11 am, on the road in front of the Bar Association, advocates boycotted judicial work, strongly opposed this black law. The advocates burnt copies of the Act and expressed their anger by burning effigies. On the occasion, General Secretary Suman Kumar Singh said that this black law is not in the interest of advocates. Vice President Vijay Kumar Singh said that the government cannot curb the advocate because advocates do not get any honorarium from the government. Advocates are removing unemployment in the country with their hard work and are working to provide justice to the common people.
The government can increase the fees of BCI but cannot do anything more than this, we are independent and will remain so. The central government is trying to curb the independence of advocates. Which is being opposed by advocates from all over India. In this episode, advocates of the Advocates Association Hazaribag are protesting. Joint Secretary cum Media Incharge Kunal Kumar said that in this Act, the Central Government will nominate three of its members in the Bar Council of India. The Central Government will have the right to issue instructions to BCI. Along with this, the Central Government will be able to make rules for the entry of foreign law firms and lawyers. Such rules will violate the freedom of lawyers. On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Vijay Kumar Singh, Deepak Kumar, Bharat Kumar, Bhaiya Sumit Kumar Sinha, Chandrika Prasad, Vibhav Kumar, Jawahar Prasad, Satish Kumar Sinha, Ramesh Singh, Mithilesh Kumar Manne, Kumar Gaurav, Shankar Prasad, Brajesh Kumar, Amar Ranjan and hundreds of advocates were present.
