BJP President and Union Health Minister J P Nadda on Thursday attacked the ruling AAP in Delhi over the issue of corruption and asked people to make the national capital "AAP-DA" (disaster) free in the upcoming elections.
Addressing a poll rally in Krishna Nagar, he also slammed the AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal for his remarks that Haryana is "mixing poison in the Yamuna". Calling Kejriwal "anti-national" for making such an allegation, Nadda said, "He is pitting people of Delhi and Haryana against each other. He is trying to create panic among the people. He does not deserve to be in politics."
Nadda also alleged that the AAP-led Delhi government has done Rs 8,000 scam in the Yamuna cleaning projects. "I can see that you have made up your mind to form a BJP government in Delhi. This is not an ordinary election; it is an election to change Delhi's fate and image. This election is about freeing Delhi from the AAP, which has come to be known as AAP-DA. This election is about freeing you from all the problems you have faced under their tenure," Nadda told the rally.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also addressed public meetings for BJP candidate Bhuvan Tanwar in Delhi Cantt and Om Prakash Singh in Vishwas Nagar. “AAP came to power on the issue of Jan Lokpal and today its government is dying after getting stuck in the midst of scams. There is no relative who has not been cheated by AAP. Kejriwal, who came into politics by giving a statement that why should a big house be built for a Chief Minister and a Minister, got a Sheesh Mahal built for himself,” Singh claimed.
Addressing the people, he alleged that the AAP government neither solved the problem of water properly nor made any kind of arrangement and Delhi became a lake in one rain. “Today, the BJP worked to provide water in the desert and mountains but they could not even provide water in Delhi. They did not shy away from making fun of the system on which our country runs and the constitution with which we have worked to unite after independence,” he said.
If you form a BJP government today, you will see that along with fixing all the arrangements, the schemes of the Modi government will be implemented in Delhi. Ayushman Yojana is going to be a panacea for all of you. Today, such arrangements have been made for street vendors in India that they sit with a mobile in their hand and it is a good example of Digital India.
During an election campaign in Mustafabad Assembly Constituency, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, "He (Arvind Kejriwal) made big promises and said that he will clean the water of Yamuna and after cleaning the Yamuna in 5 years, he will take a dip in the Yamuna with his entire cabinet and come to you to ask for votes. But Yamuna has not been cleaned. Now this is beyond your control. He got thousands and crores of rupees but he spent all the money on corruption."
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also participated in a public meeting organized in favour of BJP candidate Ravindra Singh Negi from Patpatganj assembly constituency in West Vinod Nagar.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also addressed a public meeting in Karawal Nagar in support of BJP candidate Kapil Mishra. “He has taken many important steps in the interest of Sanatan Dharma. I request you not to waste your vote on anti-religion and anti-national parties. Make the lotus win with a huge margin,” he said.
