Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board Chairman Sanwar Patel said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Waqf Board Amendment Bill has been introduced, receiving widespread support from the honest Muslim community across the country. In Madhya Pradesh, the bill was welcomed with celebrations, including drumbeats and festivities, as a mark of appreciation for the government’s decision.
Hailing the Bill, Patel said that it would put an end to illegal encroachments on Waqf properties by land mafias. He further emphasized that this move would bring new hope for poor and underprivileged Muslim families, ensuring rightful utilization of Waqf assets for the welfare of the community.
Patel announced that a campaign would soon be launched in Madhya Pradesh to reclaim encroached Waqf properties from land mafias. He also assured that, if necessary, legal action would be taken to evict and imprison those found guilty of illegal occupation.
He highlighted that Waqf properties would be utilized for the upliftment and empowerment of the Muslim community, particularly in the field of education. Efforts would be made in collaboration with reputed educational institutions to inspire Muslim youth to pursue careers as doctors, engineers, and visionaries like Bharat Ratna Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
Patel also acknowledged the enthusiastic support shown by the Muslim community in Bhopal, where celebrations were held in favor of the new bill. Expressing his appreciation, he stated that he would personally visit and distribute sweets to those who participated in the event.
