Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday announced that under the state’s new civil aviation policy, a permanent helipad will be constructed within every 45-kilometer radius, while an airport will be built every 150 kilometers across the state.
Speaking at a dialogue with industrialists in Indore ahead of the Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investors Summit scheduled in Bhopal on February 24 and 25, Yadav highlighted key provisions of the newly approved Madhya Pradesh Civil Aviation Policy-2025.
As part of the policy, the state government will provide financial incentives to promote air connectivity. Aviation companies will receive a grant of Rs 7.5 lakh for each new domestic flight connecting Madhya Pradesh to other states and Rs 10 lakh for every new international flight introduced. Additionally, tenders will soon be invited for a helicopter service connecting Indore, Ujjain, and Omkareshwar.
The cabinet, chaired by Yadav, also approved a new Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Policy aimed at fostering industrial growth. Under this policy, investments exceeding Rs 2.5 crore in small industries will be safeguarded, and privately developed industrial areas will receive the same benefits and facilities as those established by the state government.
