Mishap at Tata Steel Kalinganagar, nine injured

In an accident at the Steel Melting Shop of Tata Steel’s Kalinganagar plant today at around 11:30 AM nine workers were injured. The injured were promptly transported to Tata Steel Medica Hospital for medical attention, where one has already been discharged after receiving first aid.

According to initial reports, approximately 100 workers were present at the site when the explosion took place. However, Tata Steel has stated that no employee has suffered serious injuries. The company's Quick Response Team promptly intervened and ensured the swift transportation of injured workers to the hospital.

In an official statement, Tata Steel confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident. The company assured that all necessary measures are being taken to manage the situation and prevent any future occurrences.

Preliminary information suggests that the mishap was caused due to a technical fault at the Steel Melting Shop. The Tata Steel team is actively working to assess the damage and implement corrective actions.

According to the medical team, all injured individuals are now in stable condition and out of danger. Tata Steel has assured that they are committed to providing the best possible care to the affected employees and are making every effort to ensure their well-being.

The company has reported the incident to the relevant authorities and has also informed the family members of the injured workers. As a precautionary measure, the accident site has been barricaded, and an internal investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident.
