The faculty of Agriculture at Medi-Caps University  Indore organized a one-day practical training on "Rooftop Farming" and "Kitchen Garden" at the university campus. The event was informally inaugurated by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr)  D.K. Patnaik, who encouraged participants to utilize open spaces such as rooftops, courtyards, and balconies for growing useful plants. Highlighting the benefits of such initiatives, he remarked that cultivating plants not only provides fresh, pesticide-free vegetables but also contributes to saving money and improving physical and mental health.

The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Pro (Dr)  S.D. Upadhyaya, presented the program's objectives and its practical significance. The session also featured a special presentation on nano irrigation techniques by a representative from M/s Samadhan Agro, Rau. The program was conducted by Professor MuralidharIyer, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for all attendees.

Participants were introduced to modern agricultural practices through hands-on activities. They visited the polyhouse and net house facilities, where they learned about hydroponics techniques under the guidance of Dr. Rahul Singh Raghuvanshi. Additionally, detailed demonstrations on planting in pots were conducted by Professor Gaurav Kumar Ahirwar and Professor MuralidharIyer. Participants actively engaged in pot preparation activities, gaining practical insights into urban gardening.

To reinforce the learning experience, the session concluded with a detailed video presentation summarizing the techniques and methods covered during the training. The event successfully inspired attendees to adopt sustainable and productive gardening practices, contributing to a healthier and greener lifestyle.
