Mayor Malti Rai laid the foundation for development projects worth Rs 1.2 crore in Meera Nagar and Trilanga on Sunday. The projects aim to enhance local infrastructure and ease commuting issues.
At Meera Nagar in ward 49, Mayor Rai inaugurated road, drain, and culvert construction projects worth Rs 50 lakh. Former municipal chairman Surjeet Singh Chauhan, mayor-in-council member Sushma Babisa, zone president Babulal Yadav, and several officials attended the event alongside local residents. The project aims to resolve long-standing infrastructure concerns and improve daily life in the locality.
At Trilanga of ward 51, she performed the foundation-laying ceremony for a Rs 70 lakh cement-concrete road project at Peepal Chowk. Former MLA Dhruvanarayan Singh, zone president Snehlata Raghuvanshi, BJP leader Bhagwat Raghuvanshi, and a large number of residents were present. A Holi Milan celebration was also organised, where Mayor Rai extended her best wishes for Holi and Rangpanchami.
Highlighting the significance of these projects, Mayor Rai stated that both initiatives are part of a broader effort to upgrade civic amenities across the city. The newly planned roads and drainage systems will provide lasting solutions to infrastructure challenges, ensuring improved connectivity and convenience for residents.
