Kerala Samajam Model School, Golmuri, organized a vibrant three-day Teachers Sports Carnival, featuring competitions in Carrom Board, Table Tennis, Badminton, Basketball, and Cricket. Teachers from four houses—Charity House, Peace House, Joy House, and Hope House—enthusiastically participated, showcasing their athletic spirit and camaraderie.
The grand finale of the cricket tournament was held this morning at 9:00 am, where Hope House clinched the championship title with a spectacular performance. K. Rama Sir emerged as the star player, delivering an exceptional all-round performance. He remained not out, scoring 26 runs, and his stellar bowling included a maiden over in which he took three crucial wickets, paving the way for Hope House's victory.
The atmosphere was electric as the teachers cheered for their teams, and the school ground echoed with applause. The match witnessed the esteemed presence of Chairman K.P.G. Nair, Principal Nandini Shukla, Vice Principals A.L. Abraham, and Reena Banerjee, along with all the teaching staff, who encouraged the participants and celebrated their sportsmanship.
In recognition of his outstanding performance, K. Ramakrishna Rao was awarded the Best Player Award, earning well-deserved applause and admiration from his colleagues and the audience. Hope House Captain, Rajan Singh, expressed his joy and congratulated his team for their hard work and dedication that led to their victory.
